Tragedy as top flight manager, 44, dies after collapsing mid-match as players break down in tears upon finding out
EUROPEAN football has been plunged into mourning following the tragic death of Mladen Zizovic.
The Bosnian, 44, collapsed in the 22nd minute of Radnički 1923’s game with Mladost in Serbia‘s top flight on Sunday evening.

Medics immediately rushed to his attention and transported him to hospital, but sadly could not save his life.
The match was immediately suspended, before the referee resumed the game with Zizovic on his way to hospital.
Just 20 minutes later, however, it was tragically confirmed that he had passed away.
Players and coaches from both teams broke down in tears on the pitch, before the match was abandoned.

Zizovic, a former Bosnia international, had only been appointed on October 23 – with the Mladost fixture just his third match in charge.
Tributes poured in from across the footballing community for Zizovic, who leaves behind three children.
A Serbian FA statement said: “The Football Association of Serbia has received with deep sorrow and disbelief the news of the sudden death of FK Radnički 1923 coach Mladen Zizovic, who passed away during the Mozzart Bet Super League of Serbia match between Mladost and Radnicki 1923 in Lucani.
“His untimely departure represents a tremendous loss for the entire football community.
“The Football Association of Serbia expresses its deepest condolences to the Zizovic family, the members of FK Radnicki 1923, as well as all friends and admirers of his character and work.
“Rest in peace, Mladen. Your love for football and the legacy you left behind will remain with us forever.”
Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade added: “With sadness, we received the news that Radnicki’s coach from Kragujevac, Mladen Zizovic, has suddenly passed away.
“Our sincere condolences to the family, friends, and club.”
Crvena Zvezda, colloquially known as Red Star Belgrade, said: “FK Crvena Zvezda expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mladen Zizović, as well as to the members of FK Radnicki 1923.
“Rest in peace, Mladen. 🙏”
