A person who had been reported missing in Sault Ste. Marie has been located and is safe, police say.
In an update issued tonight, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service said the individual is no longer considered missing and thanked community members for their assistance.
Police had earlier requested the public’s help after the person was last seen around 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 in the parking lot of the Fort Creek Conservation Area on Second Line East.
A large police presence had been reported in the area Monday as officers searched the trail system out of concern for the person’s safety.
