Loose Women viewers were all left saying the same thing during the latest episode

Loose Women fans have been left saying the same thing as Ruth Langsford was “missing” from the latest live show.

Host Christine Lampard was joined by Denise Welch, Brenda Edwards and Frankie Bridge on the panel for Monday’s (November 3) special episode of the ITV daytime programme dedicated to the show’s Facing It Together campaign.

As statistics show one in four women and one in seven men will face domestic abuse within their lifetime, the campaign aims to highlight the help available to those living with domestic abuse and the key ways in which friends and family can spot the signs or support loved ones living with domestic abuse.

As Christine revealed that the team have rolled out posters across the UK to highlight the campaign, some ITV viewers were left asking where Ruth was.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “I wonder where Ruth is? She was in the audience of Strictly on Saturday night. #loosewomen.”

Another added: “Lampard in charge on #Loosewomen today, Ruth mustn’t be available then as she used to host Mondays and Tuesdays.”

A third person said: “What’s happened to the lovely Ruth Langsford? We don’t see her nearly enough. I miss her… especially on a Monday. What are you playing at ITV?? #loosewomen.”

It comes after Ruth has hinted at uncertainty over her career after ITV announced plans to axe more than 220 jobs, including cuts to her show, Loose Women

The lunchtime programme is just one of the broadcaster’s shows that will face changes, as it is set to be broadcast for 30 weeks instead of 52, alongside job cuts.

In an exclusive interview, Ruth, who hosts the ITV panel show alongside her work on television shopping channel QVC, said: “I never have a plan, because I don’t decide if I work or not.

“I think people should know by now what I’m good at, what I do, 30-odd years of doing it, so I’m always open to suggestion.”

I’ve done all sorts of things, obviously, outside ITV as well. And I love working, I’ve no plans to retire anytime soon.”

When the changes at ITV were announced, managing director of ITV’s media and entertainment division Kevin Lygo said: “Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust, as well as generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres.

“These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever.” For more information about the Facing It Together campaign, please visit here
