Report: Colts get Sauce Gardner from Jets for two 1st-round picks

The Indianapolis Colts made the biggest splash of NFL trade deadline day by landing star cornerback Sauce Gardner in a deal with the New York Jets, sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The two-time first-team All-Pro will go to Indianapolis in exchange for two first-round picks, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The stunning deal comes just months after Gardner signed a record four-year, $120.4-million contract extension in July.
Gardner, the No. 4 overall pick in 2022, put on a show in his first two NFL seasons, earning consecutive All-Pro berths and claiming a Defensive Rookie of the Year award. He regressed last year and struggled with missed tackles.
The 25-year-old, who’s allowed a 98.1 passer rating in coverage this season, said farewell to Jets fans on social media Tuesday.
