Bills trade deadline tracker: Best players available, top options, latest news

Today is not only Election Day, it is also the deadline for teams to make a trade in the NFL. Contenders, including the Buffalo Bills, will be looking to bolster their roster while others will be looking to add picks and players that will help in future years.
Given that their defensive line has been ravaged by injuries this season – the latest occurring Sunday when Michael Hoecht blew out his Achilles and is now out for the season – the Bills are in need of reinforcements. Ed Oliver is also out for the season, TJ Sanders is on injured reserve and DaQuan Jones’ return is uncertain, so at the very least, the Bills would love to add a defensive tackle.
And of course, given the lack of productivity they have gotten from their wide receivers, general manager Brandon Beane may also dip his toes into that market, too.
According to sports contract website Spotrac, the Bills had around $1.7 million in cap space, the lowest amount of any team in the NFL, but that was before a report from ESPN Monday night that the Bills restructured the contract of defensive back Taron Johnson in order to free up about $1.75 million. That would seem to indicate Beane has something in the works.
We will track trade updates all day long. Check back often for updates.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are acquiring wide receiver Jakobi Meyers in a trade with the Los Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Meyers had requested a trade prior to the season.
The Jaguars (5-3), who are in second place in the AFC South, put wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter on injured reserve with a knee injury last week. Meyers will gave them a new No. 2 wide receiver to pair with Brian Thomas.
Meyers was tied for the Raiders’ team lead with 29 receptions this year. He had career-highs of 87 receptions and 1,027 receiving yards in 2024, extending his streak to four seasons with at least 67 receptions and 800 receiving yards.
Las Vegas (2-6) is in last place in the AFC West.
Linebacker Logan Wilson had been rumored to be a trade candidate and he was the first player in a deal on Tuesday. The Cincinnati Bengals are sending Wilson to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2026 seventh-round pick.
Wilson, 29, recorded at least 100 tackles in each year from 2021-2024. He was teammates with Bills quarterback Josh Allen at the University of Wyoming.
The Baltimore Ravens traded for edge rusher Dre’Month Jones from the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick on Monday, according to ESPN. Baltimore is shipping the New York Jets’ original 2026 fifth-rounder, but it could become the Ravens’ 2026 fourth-round pick.
Jones, 28, had 4.5 sacks in 2025 and 35 sacks in his seven-year career. Baltimore ranks second-to-last in the NFL with 11 sacks this season.
The Ravens were 1-5 entering their bye week but have won two straight games are back in the playoff hunt.’
The Bills will face a further depleted Miami Dolphins team on Sunday.
Miami began selling the day before trade deadline day, trading outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2026 third-round pick.
Phillips has 177 tackles, 26 sacks, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries and one interception in 55 games over five years since being drafted No. 18 overall in 2021. He will reunite with Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, who was the defensive coordinator with the Dolphins in 2023 when Phillips had 6.5 sacks in eight games before tearing an Achilles. He tore an ACL in Week 4 last year but was back for the start of this season.
Philadelphia also traded for cornerbacks Michael Carter III (from the Jets) and Jaire Alexander (from the Ravens) last week.
