Modrić reveals his top five all-time football legends, and his list goes viral for all the right reasons

No one can dispute that Luka Modrić remains among the best footballers in the world — even at 40 years old, a milestone he reached this past September.
Yet, like every legend, the Croatian maestro also has his own idols. And now, he has revealed his five favorite players in football history.
He did so in a conversation with popular YouTuber @therealyesus, who asked him directly: “Top five footballers — all-time greats or just your personal favorites?” Without much hesitation, the Real Madrid midfielder began listing them:
“Maradona, Francesco Totti, Ronaldo the Brazilian, Zvonimir Boban — who was my idol — and one more… I’ll say Zizou,” he concluded.
As expected, Modrić’s answer quickly went viral. Many fans were surprised not to see names like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, or even Pelé among his picks.
