Jets: ‘Garrett Wilson is untouchable’ amidst fire sale on deadline day

While the New York Jets have broken up their defense on deadline day, there is one player that the team won’t move regardless of the king’s ransom they’re offered.
SNYtv’s Connor Hughes reached out to the Jets brass about the availability of the team’s star wideout, Garrett Wilson. Although teams have inquired about the player after Sauce Gardner and other top talents left MetLife today, it was reaffirmed that Wilson is “untouchable” and seen as a future building block for the rebuilding Jets.
After their current deals, the Jets now sit with three first-round picks in the upcoming NFL draft. They will set their sights on a rookie quarterback, almost assuredly with one of those picks, most likely their own, which will be near the top of the board. When they draft that quarterback, they will want him to have a reliable WR1 to build chemistry with, and Wilson will be that wide receiver for the Jets heading into 2026.
