Ian Marcuse, a community food organizer for the Vancouver Food Justice Coalition, cautions Canadians against shopping in stores in Canada that are not local or even Canadian owned.
“We’ve been calling for regulation of the food industry and, in particular, breaking up the monopolies,” said Marcuse. “We’ve also been calling on increased regulatory, financial, and taxation support for smaller businesses.”
