SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Shippensburg University libero Shay Kolivoski was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office.
Kolivoski, who continues to rank among the PSAC’s Top 5 in digs and digs per set, added 32 more to her total (5.3 per set) as the Raiders swept West Chester and Millersville to move to 10-0 in the PSAC East. Kolivoski ranks 10th overall in Division II in total number of digs with 490.
Kolivoski did not allow a reception error on 22 attempts in the two matches, and her back-row passing resulted in six assists for the offense.
Her match-high 20 digs against Millersville marked the 16th time in 24 matches this season that she has totaled 20 or more digs in a contest.
This marks the fifth time this season that Kolivoski has been named the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week, having previously been honored on Oct. 13, Sept. 29, Sept. 22 and Sept. 8. It is the seventh weekly award of Kolivoski’s career.
