Voting Underway This Election Day

On Tuesday, November 4, Pace students and faculty will be given the opportunity to vote. Unlike last year, the polling place is not on campus, so instead, The Center for Community Action and Research (CCAR) will provide free transportation where Pace students and faculty registered to vote can vote in town at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library. Transportation will be available between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
Candidates up for election this year in Westchester County include various council members, justices, town clerks, and more. Voters will have the chance to vote for candidates running for office in their local town (i.e. Pleasantville, Pelham, etc.) while also voting for candidates intending to represent Westchester County as a whole. There is a ballot measure exclusively available for Pleasantville, and it will move voting from March to November.
In New York City there will be a mayoral election, the first one since 2021. That race is between Zohran Mamdani (Democratic nominee), Andrew Cuomo (Independent), and Curtis Sliwa (Republican nominee). There will be voting sites on the Pace NYC campus where students and faculty can make their voices heard.. While the New York City election has more eyes on it, voting in Westchester County is just as important. For more information on Pace voting initiatives, you can view answers to frequently-asked questions on this document.
No images could and will be taken within 100 feet of the voting site to prevent election interference. Everyone should get out there and vote! Your ballot makes a difference!
