UFC Fight Night 264 live updates: Results, round-by-round coverage of every fight

UFC Fight Night 264 takes place at the UFC Apex and streams on ESPN+.
In the headliner, Gabriel Bonfim (18-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) takes on Randy Brown (20-6 MMA, 14-6 UFC) at welterweight. And in the flyweight co-feature, Joseph Morales (13-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) meets Matt Schnell (17-9 MMA, 7-7 UFC).

Hyder Amil vs. Jamall Emmers
Round 1 – They touch ’em up and Amil fires off kicks to the legs and body. Emmers lands a combination in response. Emmers goes for another right hand, and Amil counters with a kick up the middle, straight into the junk. The fight pauses briefly, and both come out firing punches on the restart. Amil keeps the pressure on Emmers, offering various strikes. Emmers mixes it up with a nice takedown, but Amil quickly works to his feet. Back in the center, they exchange punches upstairs. Emmers gets the better of it as they trade, but it doesn’t stop Amil from marching forward. Amil finds a home for a combo of his own. A moment later, Amil blitzes with punches, and gets taken down. Amil pops back up and gets right back in Emmers’ grill with punches. Emmers ties him up along the fence to slow things down. Emmers lands an elbow on the separation. Amil lands two clean punches. The volume from Amil is exhausting. Emmers blasts him with a hard punch. There’s the horn. 10-9 Amil.
Round 2 –
Raoni Barcelos vs. Ricky Simon
Round 1 – Simon is light on his feet early as Barcelos stalks from the middle in a low stance, punching to the body. Barcelos lands a nice, sneaky uppercut. Simon shoots in, lifts and dumps Barcelos, but can’t keep him down. Simon keeps him along the fence and unloads a few hard punches. Barcelos gets away to reset and gets a takedown of his own. Simon scrambles to take top position and lands some big hammerfists. More ground and pound from Simon midway through. Barcelos punches from his back, gets a foot on the hips, and kicks off to get the fight back to standing. Barcelos steps in with a hard right hand. Simon peppers out the left jab as he circles. Barcelos lands a nice combo before looking for another takedown. It’s not there, but he lands a punch on the exit. Simon presses forward with strikes in the closing seconds. 10-9 Simon.
Round 2 – Barcelos comes forward quickly, hunting for Simon’s chin with punches. Going to the body and head, Barcelos lands nicely to start the round. There’s a clean right hand and another uppercut for Barcelos, causing Simon to back up. Now Simon looks to change things up with wrestling, but can’t complete the takedown. Back to the center, Barcelos continues to land well with punches. He then changes levels for a takedown, but doesn’t try to hold Simon down. A nice 1-2 scores for Barcelos. Simon comes forward behind the left jab, but gets tagged with counters. A clean right hand gets through for Simon as they flex their boxing skills in the center. 10-9 Barcelos.
Round 3 – Barcelos gets back to his forward pressure immediately. Simon shoots in, but Barcelos sprawls nicely. Barcelos keeps control of the center while landing snappy punches as Simon bounces around on the outside. Simon just misses with a big uppercut. Barcelos stays busy with punches, and counters well to keep Simon guessing. There’s another clean 1-2 for Barcelos. Simon answers with a nice jab to pop back Barcelos’ head as we reach the final minute. Barcelos adds a knee to the body during a punching exchange. Simon looks for a step-in elbow. There’s the clapper and both are just emptying the tank. Barcelos lands a nice knee in the chaotic finish. 10-9 Barcelos – he takes the fight 29-28.
Jacqueline Cavalcanti vs. Mayra Bueno Silva
Round 1 – They touch gloves and start feeling out the range. Quick leg kicks from both get the action going. Cavalcanti puts together a nice combination upstairs as she starts to work behind the left jab. MBS kicks to the body well, and then offers a slow spinning kick to the head. Cavalcanti fires back with speedy punches. Continuing to fire first is Cavalcanti. MBS gets a hold of her and begins working for a takedown. Cavalcanti defends well to work her way out of the clinch. Back in the center with less than a minute, Cavalcanti lands the better shots to close out the round. 10-9 Cavalcanti.
Round 2 – Cavalcanti gets back to forward pressure, striking first. The output is low from both, but Cavalcanti is pressuring. There’s a nice combination from Cavalcanti. They tie up against the cage after Cavalcanti lands again. Cavalcanti digs in a knee to the body. They separate and reset to the center. MBS starts to open up her offense a little, but Cavalcanti answers well. Cavalcanti lands a clean shot and looks for a follow-up combination. MBS circles on the outside without much to offer. Cavalcanti lands a nice front kick seconds before the horn. 10-9 Cavalcanti.
Round 3 – Cavalcanti lands a nice three-punch combo to start the round. MBS looks to change levels but gets lit up with counterpunches. MBS continues to hunt for a single leg, but has to give up on it with Cavalcanti punching the head. A bloodied and bruised MBS eats more punches from Cavalcanti as she circles on the outside. Cavalcanti keeps the pressure high as she picks her shots. MBS eats a hard right hand. Now she answers back with a couple of shots in a half clinch. Two minutes to go. Cavalcanti pops MBS with a jab. MBS tries to tie up Cavalcanti, but can’t keep hold. MBS opens up with a combo, but Cavalcanti fires back with harder, cleaner punches. 10-9 Cavalcanti. She takes the fight 30-27.
Max Gimenis vs. Josh Hokit
Round 1 – No touch here. Hokit charges in with punches. Gimenis circles out and answers with a hard leg kick that takes Hokit off balance. Gimenis lands a front kick to the body. Hokit answers with a big right hand! Down goes Gimenis! Hokit swarms but the finish isn’t there. Gimenis get to his feet, but Hokit is still on him. More big punches from Hokit! He’s unloading! Gimenis goes down again from another clean punch, and it’s over!
Denise Gomes vs. Tecia Pennington
Round 1 – They touch ’em up and start exchanging kicks. Gomes presses forward behind her offense, mixing up kicks to the legs and head. Gomes gets a clinch, but Pennington shakes free, but stumbles to the canvas. She pops up and resumes working side kicks to the lead leg. Gomes closes distance, and trips Pennington, but can’t keep her down. Gomes offers a wheel kick, but it misses. Pennington fires quick punches and kicks to the lead leg as they exchange. There’s a nice punch from Gomes. Pennington circles away from the cage and answers. The action slows a bit to single shot exchanges. Pennington shoots in with a few seconds remaining. Gomes grabs a kimura to counter before the horn. 10-9 Gomes.
Round 2 – Leg kick exchanges start the round. Pennington circles on the outside, sticking and moving with quick strikes. Gomes offers a big overhand right that made a loud sound, but Pennington ripped a combination in response. Gomes continues to control the center of the cage, offering strikes with a little more pop on them. There’s another overhand right from Gomes. Pennington keeps touching from the outside. They clinch up and trade a couple of short punches, but separate quickly. Another tie up before the horn. 10-9 Gomes.
Round 3 – They resume trading kicks early. Gomes comes in with punches into a clinch along the fence. Pennington hits a beautiful hip toss reversal, but Gomes stays busy and manages to scramble to top position. Pennington gets to her feet with Gomes attached. Gomes trips out the leg from behind to bring the fight to the canvas again, but only for a moment. Pennington gets up, chest-to-chest, but Gomes gets the fight to the ground again. Gomes has an awkward reverse headlock position, but gives up on it to turn into Pennington for better control on the mat. Now Gomes is unloading ground and pound. Pennington finds space to kick her off and gets back to standing for the final seconds. There’s one last exchange before the horn. 10-9 Gomes. She takes the fight 30-27.
Miles Johns vs. Daniel Marcos
Round 1 – They touch gloves and start the feel-out process by trading leg kicks. Johns looks for an overhand left. Marcos sticks with the leg kicks. Johns drills Marcos with a counter right hand as he looks for a takedown. Marcos resets, shoots again, and this time gets Johns down cleanly. Marcos attempts to take the back as Johns works up, but isn’t successful. Johns is up and in on his own single leg attempt. They separate with under two minutes to go. Now they open up on the feet, offering big punches. Johns looks for another takedown, but Marcos reverses the clinch along the fence. Marcos lands a stiff punch on the exit just seconds before the horn. 10-9 Marcos.
Round 2 – Fast striking exchanges here to start. Both connect with clean shots. Marcos goes back to the wrestling game, but Johns defends well to keep the fight standing. Marcos comes forward with punches and changes levels again unsuccessfully. Johns lands a solid right hand as Marcos comes forward. Marcos times a single leg nicely and easily gets a takedown. Johns stays active from his back to prevent Marcos from taking top position, but he gives up his back while trying to get up. Johns does get to his feet, but Marcos is firmly attached from behind. Marcos yanks Johns down to the mat and gets both hooks in. There’s a rear-naked choke and it’s tight! Johns goes out! Wow!!
Jackson McVey vs. Zach Reese
Round 1 – Reese comes out firing strikes. McVey answers with a Thai clinch and lands a couple of hard elbows. Now they’re trading very hard shots in close! McVey is being very aggressive here with the clinch, and it appears to be working. More elbows from McVey land, and Reese is cut open over his eye. McVey adds knees now, and down goes Reese! McVey keeps the swarm going, but Reese gets back to his feet. McVey keeps the clinch and lands more elbows. Reese finally manages to get off the fence to slow things down. McVey strikes his way into another clinch, and drills Reese with a low knee, pausing the action. That cut over Reese’s eye is nasty. We’re back to the fight after 2:29, according to the on-screen timer. McVey picks up right where he left off with the Thai clinch. Once again, they trade heavy strikes in close. This time, Reese gets out of it quicker and gets a takedown after the reset. Reese passes to side control, immediately looking for a kimura. Reese now looks for a reverse triangle, but it’s not there. 10-9 McVey.
Round 2 – They waste no time getting back into exchanges. Reese gets a quick takedown, though. Reese finds the back and slaps on a rear-naked choke. There’s the tap! Gritty win for Reese on short notice!
