Multiple people were killed when a tractor-trailer and car collided Wednesday morning in Franklin County, PennDOT said.
Spokeswoman Fritzi Schreffler said the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on the 6000 block of Molly Pitcher Highway (Route 11) in Greene Township.
Route 11 is shut down in both directions, Schreffler said. PennDOT did not have an estimate on when the highway will reopen.
The Franklin County coroner was called to the scene. The identities of the people who were killed have not been released.
The cause of the crash is unknown as of this publication. Pennsylvania State Police said more information will be released at a later time.
