“We were more in control in the first half. Both sides had good chances, but we felt comfortable on the ball. We needed to get more bodies into the box when we were going forward. We were perhaps a bit too defensively minded at times, because we know how quick they are on the counter.”
Missed opportunity?
“We wanted to win it. It’s always nice to win games here, we managed it the once. It’s special. Today, it wasn’t to be. We want to thank the fans, who came out despite the weather. We have to keep growing. It’s a real blow because we’d been on a great run of results but the important thing is to pick ourselves up, just like we did after the Atlético game, and to stay strong.”
