Laporta stands up for Lamine and outlines Barça’s return to the Spotify Camp Nou

During his address to the media ahead of the official reception with the mayor of Bruges, Joan Laporta touched on several current topics. One of the main subjects he emphasized was Lamine Yamal, following the recent noise surrounding Barcelona’s number 10.
Speaking in an emotional tone, the president offered his full support to the young star:
“He’s a genius and a fantastic kid. At Barça, we’re lucky to produce players like him. We have to take care of him and protect him,” Laporta warned.
“Despite all the sudden fame, he’s handling it naturally. He’s a key player, and we’ll always be by his side.”
The Barça president also had words of praise for Gavi, recognizing his relentless effort and commitment throughout his recovery from injury.
On another note, Laporta celebrated the strong response from Barça fans, who have sold out all 23,000 tickets for this Friday’s open training session at the Spotify Camp Nou.
“We’re really looking forward to reopening the stadium this Friday for the open training session. The fact that all 23,000 seats are sold out is fantastic news. The session will serve as a test to ensure everything is working properly. If all goes well, we’ll be able to return for an official match on November 22 (against Athletic Club) or November 29 (against Alavés),” he explained.
