Days of our Lives The Rinse November 4: Brady Finally Snaps Out of His Spell

On the November 4 episode of Days of our Lives, Brady seems to have finally awoken from the spell that made him think that his daughter is just a sweet, innocent, misunderstood scamp who simply needs more hugs, ice cream, and getting her way to nip her psychopathic tendencies in the bud. Yesterday, it was Chad who let his son have it for The Great Pumpkin Caper. Today, it was Brady’s turn with Rachel. And we are so here for it!
Key Takeaways
- Rachel thought she’d be allowed to do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted, however she wanted
- Brady at long last laid down the law and told Rachel she was not as adorable as she believed
- Rachel’s only play left is to manipulate Sarah into defending her in front of Brady
End of the Road
Was it any surprise that Rachel (Alice Halsey) thought she could get away with shooting EJ? Just because she claims not to remember it now doesn’t mean she didn’t initially pick up a gun and threaten him. She’d gotten away with everything else up to this point, up to and including almost getting Ava (Tamara Braun) killed. And Brady (Eric Marstolf) was there to help her believe that, every step of the way. The worst he did was frown at her. And he allowed Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) to tell Rachel she was the most special, the most precious, the most blameless little darling who ever lived. Well, that ends now.
Crime and Punishment
Instead of a trip to The Brady Pub for ice cream so they could discuss why Rachel’s behavior might not have been the best, Brady actually dealt out some punishment. He told Rachel that Marlena (Deidre Hall, who recently shot an appearance on a Star Trek series) was disappointed, but Brady was mad. Rachel was grounded. No going out (I assume that means no stealing his credit card to hire an Uber). No friends (isn’t Rachel perpetually whining that she has no friends?). And no visiting Kristen in prison. That last one is the one that truly has a chance of registering with Rachel.
Ace in the Hole
Rachel whined and pouted, threatening Brady with withdrawing her all-important love. And then she turned to Sarah (Linsay Godfrey) for help, mouthing “Help me.” Is Sarah next on Rachel’s list for manipulating her father? She was able to drive away two different women by making it clear to Daddy that their dating would make Rachel all the sads. Will she do an about-face and guilt Brady into dating Sarah… so that Rachel will have another adult she can exploit in her corner?
