Man trapped after truck slams into bridge

A man is trapped inside a truck after the vehicle crashed into a rail bridge, causing it to collapse.
The ‘cherry picker’ crashed into the bridge on Inch St, Lithgow at about 8.50am on Thursday.
The structure collapsed on impact. Two people were inside the truck at the time, police say.
“A man believed to be the driver managed to free himself, but a passenger remains unaccounted for,” police said in a statement.
“Emergency services remain at the scene and are working to free the man.”
SafeWork NSW has been notified.
