CHP investigating multi-vehicle crash, at least 1 pinned inside a vehicle

BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle crash that led to at least one person trapped inside a vehicle on Tuesday night on Panama Road at Cottonwood Road, according to CHP’s website.

It happened just before 9 p.m. when a Toyota, a Lexus sedan, and a Nissan SUV collided near the intersection, according to our footage. Major damage was seen to at least two vehicles by our news crew.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. Sheriff’s deputies and Kern County Fire personnel were seen in the area assisting.

At least one person was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition is unknown.
