Thunder vs Trail Blazers predictions, picks

Justin Martinez: Portland 113, OKC 110

Portland began to turn things around at the end of last season, and it has carried over that momentum. The Trail Blazers are 4-3 this time around thanks in large part to their stout defense. From Jrue Holiday to Toumani Camara to Deni Avdija, they’ll have no shortage of options to throw at Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. And they have a strong rim protector in Donovan Clingan. I’m picking Portland to beat OKC, which will be without key contributors such as Chet Holmgren, Lu Dort and Alex Caruso on the second night of a back to back.
