Commuters this morning have been left fuming after London Victoria station was closed due to a faulty escalator.
Early risers were left stranded on platforms after the station, which was busy, told customers just after 6am that it was closed.
People have been encouraged to look for alternative routes to get to work during the busiest time of the day.
Transport for London (TfL) says that while the London Underground station is closed, there is still good service on the Victoria, Circle and District Lines.

They added: ‘You can use your Southern or Gatwick Express ticket to travel on Thameslink trains between Gatwick Airport and London Bridge, at no extra cost.
‘From there, your London Underground ticket will be accepted by London Underground, on any reasonable route to your destination.
‘You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today.
