N.Y. Lottery: Woman claims $1M scratch-off prize as one-time lump sum; here’s how much she got

Dorata Swieboda of Denver made a life-changing purchase, winning a top prize in the New York Lottery’s VIP Millions scratch-off game, lottery officials announced.

Swieboda claimed the $1 million prize and opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment totaling $651,010, after required withholdings, according to officials.

The winning ticket was purchased at Norman Convenience & Smoke Shop, located at 171 Norman Ave. in Brooklyn.

As of this writing, there are 11 $1 million prizes and two $5 million prizes remaining on the VIP Millions ticket. Players may check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.

New York Lottery scratch-off games generated $4,339,794,048 in total sales during fiscal year 2024–2025. School districts in Delaware County received $7,776,658 in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period.
