LEGO Unveils New 3600-Piece STAR TREK: TNG Enterprise-D Brick Set

After finally going public with their long-anticipated Star Trek collaboration back in early September, LEGO today has officially revealed their Galaxy-class brickbuilding debut: a $400, 3600-piece model of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D starship.
This Enterprise-D set has been rumored for months — some new official product images even leaked out of Asia last week — and the details of LEGO’s first official Star Trek product matches up with the summer’s whispers. The new LEGO Icons set includes display stand, separable saucer section, measuring in at 10.5″ x 23.5″ x 18.5″ when on display.

Made from 3,600 pieces, the LEGO Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D™ set allows builders to craft a detailed replica of the iconic starship, complete with a detachable command saucer, secondary hull, and warp nacelles with distinctive red and blue detailing. The model also features an opening shuttlebay and two mini shuttlepods, perfect for recreating classic scenes.
Designed as a captivating sci-fi decor piece, the set comes with an angled display stand featuring an information plaque for the U.S.S. Enterprise model, plus a minifigure display tile with Star Trek: The Next Generation branding.

In addition, for fans who purchase the Enterprise-D set over the first three days (November 28 – December 1) from LEGO.com or in LEGO stores, the company will include a limited-edition, 261-piece Shuttlepod Onizuka gift-with-purchase brickset… which includes an exclusive Ensign Ro Laren minifigure.
