Amanda Bynes Says She’s ‘Excited’ About Losing 20 Pounds With the Help of Ozempic

Amanda Bynes has gotten the hang of her weight loss goals with the use of Ozempic.
The actress and visual artist gave her nearly 460,000 TikTok followers an update on Wednesday (November 5), sharing that she’s “so excited” to have dropped twenty pounds and plans to lose an additional fifteen.
“I’m 163 [pounds] now,” the former Amanda Show star said. “I actually shot up on the Ozempic pill–I shot up to 180 from 173. So I was able to lose twenty pounds from 180 and now I’m down to 163 on the Ozempic injection.”
Bynes added that she’s “really glad” to have opted for the injection instead. The treatment is generally prescribed to those with type 2 diabetes but can also be used for weight loss, as it reduces food cravings.
“It’s really working for me,” Bynes continued. “And I’m trying to lose more weight just to feel skinny and cute. So I will keep taking Ozempic and I just wanted to post about it because I know that I hadn’t made a post about my progress on Ozempic since I posted about it months ago.”
The 39-year-old entertainer announced in June that she hoped Ozempic would help her drop to 130 pounds and that she wanted to look better in “paparazzi pictures.”
Last month, Bynes–who’s had a history of mental health struggles–shared in an Instagram Story post that she had gained more than twenty pounds because of depression.
“I’m doing a lot better now and have learned to do opposite action when I don’t feel like working out or eating clean,” she told her followers. “I weigh 162 lbs. right now and want to get back to 110 lbs.”
While celebrities like Fat Joe and Amy Schumer have benefited from the use of the medication, others, like Lizzo, have sworn off Ozempic after giving it a try.
