‘Pooed in the bath’: Star, 26, angers parents

A scene from Molly-Mae Hague’s new Amazon docuseries has sparked significant privacy concerns for her toddler.
In the three-part show, ‘Molly-Mae: Behind It All’, the 26-year-old influencer invites viewers into her home life with her two-year-old daughter, Bambi.
She shares the youngster with fiance Tommy Fury, a professional boxer she met while appearing on Love Island UK in 2019.
One particular scene, which was shown in the series, reportedly shows Hague bathing Bambi as a camera operator films from the hallway.
Shortly into the bath, the toddler has an accident that many parents will find relatable.
“Oh, she’s just pooed in the bath,” Hague says, visibly shocked, before attempting to calm her upset daughter.
“There’s a full three-piece turd floating around in the bathtub. Lord, have mercy,” she adds while drying and dressing the child.
Although the footage was heavily pixelated, many viewers expressed discomfort, arguing that the scene was “inappropriate”.
As a result, it sparked wide-spread public discourse about the pros and cons of sharing intimate moments of a child.
As a result, the topic discussed on the Shameless Podcast where the Melbourne-based hosts raised concerns over how the moment made it through editing and post-production.
Host Michelle Andrews, a mum-of-one, can be seen in a promo clip shared to TikTok voicing her unease, stating that she felt “uncomfortable as a viewer” and called it “an invasion of privacy,” even with the blurring.
She also questioned why the film crew was allowed to stay and film the toddler in “an incredibly vulnerable position”.
“I’m really, really shocked that this is a decision Molly-Mae has made, particularly given she’s so internet-savvy and seems to really care about public opinion,” Andrews said.
“This footage would exist somewhere on some device unblurred.”
The backlash has since spread across social media, with many users raising similar concerns. On Amazon Prime UK’s TikTok account, two clips were shared from the episode.
One showing Hague encouraging Bambi to use the potty and another of her FaceTiming her father to explain the mishap.
Both clips, dubbed a “poo scandal” by some online, also drew strong reactions from viewers.
Comments on the two posts included:
“Why are they trying to make her go to the toilet while the film crew were there?”
“What are you doing to protect your child’s dignity and privacy?”
“Poor Bambi, having her privacy totally disrespected.”
Similar reactions have appeared on Reddit, where users have discussed and shared their discomfort.
“I felt very icked out by her allowing camera crews to film her daughter pooping in the bath. You couldn’t see it, but it’s not fair to broadcast something so private,” one commenter shared.
A second agreed: “It was so uncomfortable, and no wonder poor Bambi didn’t want to use the toilet there’s a whole camera crew filming it. It was so weird, and it shouldn’t have been shown.”
