Celebrity Traitors finalist David Olusoga has revealed that he ‘didn’t deserve to get to the final’ and what the series’ ‘biggest surprise’ was.
The popular historian has made it to the final of the BBC series in spite of having one of the more rockier journeys in the Scottish highlands.
David made Traitors history, when he and Line of Duty’s Mark Bonnar were unable to be separated after two rounds of voting at the roundtable.
Claudia Winkleman then revealed that their faiths would be left to chance, as they had to pick between two chests, with one containing a shield.
Picking before Mark, David received the shield and has gone on to avoid being murdered by the traitors or banished at the roundtables.
Sadly for David, his gut hasn’t been correct as of yet when it comes to his suspicions, being the only person who didn’t vote traitor Jonathan Ross off.
On top of this, David was one of the faithfuls who were adamant that Stephen Fry was deceiving them in spite of them being friends away from the show.

With just one episode of the series left, David is faced with an ultimatum after former rugby star Joe Marler told him he’s convinced that Cat Burns and Alan Carr are the two remaining faithfuls.
Speaking to the BBC ahead of the series finale on Thursday night (November 6), David opened up about how he’s found being part of the UK’s biggest show.
“I never thought I would get to the final, and the way I’ve played so far I probably didn’t deserve to get to the final.
“It’s so random but an amazing game because so much of it is chance as well as strategy,” he said.
Saying that his family and friends have ‘loved’ the series, David admitted that he was ‘surprised by many things about the game’.
He explained: “I was surprised it was so difficult, but I was surprised most of all that the players who are trying to banish and kill one another just all had a wonderful time together.
“I didn’t go up to Scotland thinking I would come back with 18 friends – that was the biggest surprise.”
The Celebrity Traitors final airs on BBC One and on the BBC iPlayer at 9pm on Thursday, November 6
