RCMP investigating after stolen truck backs into Kamloops business

The Kamloops RCMP are investigating after a stolen truck was driven into a business on Hillside Drive early Wednesday morning.

Police received a report that the truck had backed up through the business’ front door around 2 am and stole some items before driving away.

The break-in happened in the 1300-block of Hillside Drive, a news release said.

“Although the vehicle was gone prior to police attending it was later found after receiving a tip from the public of a suspicious vehicle,” said Corporal Dana Napier Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. “Police were able to match items that were stolen with those located inside the truck.”

The vehicle was found unoccupied but the Kamloops RCMP’s Forensic Identification Services will be conducting an examination.

Anyone with information or video footage in the area is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and cite file 2025-36965.
