Hong Kong Sixes 2025 will get underway from November 7, with 12 teams taking part in the latest edition of the six-player-a-side tournament.
What is Hong Kong Sixes?
The Hong Kong Sixes is a fast-paced cricket competition that started in the 1990s. It was designed to give Hong Kong’s cricketers and fans a chance to watch international stars in action, despite the city being only an ICC Associate Member. Unlike one-off exhibition matches, it became an annual international event, with cricket boards allowing players to participate freely. The Sixes ran from 1993–1997, returned from 2001–2012, briefly resurfaced in 2017, and was relaunched in 2024.

All matches of the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 will be played at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground in Hong Kong.

What is the format for Hong Kong Sixes 2025?
The group stage of the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 will follow a single round-robin format, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the quarterfinals. From there, the competition will shift to a single-match knockout stage. Teams that do not qualify for the main-draw knockouts will compete in bowl and plate fixtures to determine their final standings.
