Mild but mixed weather to continue over weekend, says Met Éireann

It will be mostly cloudy today, bringing some outbreaks of rain and drizzle, which will mainly affect the western half of the country.
Misty weather is to be expected, too, with some fog patches, however some bright spells will develop further east through the day, but with some scattered showers.
Today will be mild, with the highest temperatures ranging between 12 and 16C.

Tonight might be mostly cloudy, with just some patchy light rain and drizzle, as temperatures will drop to 8 and 11C.
It will continue misty, with some hill fog, and there will be limited clear spells, mostly in the north and east.
Meanwhile, a band of more persistent rain will start to push into the southwest towards early morning.
Tomorrow will remain cloudy and misty, following a wet start for the southwest with widespread rain, while elsewhere will just see scattered showers.
The rain will slowly spread north-eastwards from the southwest through the morning and afternoon, becoming patchier.
It will give way to drier conditions in the evening, and clear later. Highest temperatures will range between 11 and 14C tomorrow.

Mixed conditions will continue, such as a mixture of rain, showers, and some sunny spells, too, for the weekend and into next week.
It will also be mild for the time of the year, the national forecaster said.
Met Éireann meteorologist, Donal Egan, said: “Low pressure is going to continue dominating our weather for the rest of the week and into the weekend.”
“Conditions will be mild but mixed. It’ll be mostly cloudy with spells of rain and drizzle, but we should see some sunny spells too over the weekend,” he added.
