Born in a modest chawl in Mumbai, he faced countless rejections before making it big in Bollywood. His father, Sham Kaushal, was a renowned stunt director in the film industry. Despite having connections, it got difficult for the star to make his way into Bollywood.
Yes, you guessed that right. We are talking about Vicky Kaushal. After working briefly at an IT firm, the Bollywood heartthrob realised his true calling wasn’t in front of a computer but in front of a camera.
He got trained at Kishore Namit Kapoor’s Acting Academy to hone his craft. In 2015, he made his powerful debut in Masaan. The film became a turning point in his career, establishing him as one of Bollywood’s most promising talents.

“When you are born into a family where somebody is working in the film industry, the advantage is that you know the harsh reality of the industry. You know that it’s not all glitter and glamour, and it has a flip side too,” Vicky said.
He then revealed that he grew up in a 10×10 room, where his family bought furniture piece by piece. “I have seen how my parents got furniture one by one and how we have transitioned from small spaces to big spaces. Like how we have moved from chawl to 1BHK and then to 2BHK, so that struggle was never hidden from us, and I always knew the flip side of this industry and that it isn’t easy,” he shared.
From his humble beginnings, Vicky now resides in a lavish sea-facing apartment in Mumbai, a home that perfectly mirrors his incredible rise.
Their love story became the talk of the town! After months of speculation, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif tied the knot in a dreamy royal wedding in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, in December 2021.
