Veteran actor Sanjay Khan’s wife and Sussanne and Zayed Khan’s mother, Zarine Khan, has passed away at the age of 81 due to age-related ailments. She breathed her last at her Mumbai residence. Zarine is survived by her husband, Sanjay Khan, and their four children — Sussanne Khan, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan, and Zayed Khan.
Before marrying Sanjay Khan in 1966, Zarine had a brief stint in Bollywood, appearing in films such as Tere Ghar Ke Saamne and Ek Phool Do Mali. She later established herself as a renowned interior designer, a passion that her daughter Sussanne Khan went on to embrace as well.
She also published a cookbook, Family Secret, which included recipes passed down in the family.

Zarine Khan celebrated her 81st birthday in July this year. To mark the occasion, her daughter Sussanne Khan shared a heartfelt Instagram post featuring a montage of candid moments from their childhood and recent memories together.
Alongside the video, Sussanne penned an emotional note that read,
“My my… what an amazing mama you are! Happiest happy birthday, my gorgeous, beautiful mommy. Everything I do and all that I create in life is because of the way you shaped my heart, my mind, and my grit. I am so honoured and grateful to be your little girl. May the universe always protect you and continue to help you spread the love and smiles that you do. Have the most spectacular year!”
