Sam Ryder is a British singer, songwriter and musician best known for representing the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, where he finished second with his song Space Man, earning the country its best result in over two decades. Born in 1989 in Essex, Ryder began his career as a guitarist and vocalist in various rock bands before gaining global attention during the COVID-19 lockdowns by posting cover videos on TikTok, where his powerful vocals and charisma attracted millions of followers.
His debut album, There’s Nothing but Space, Man!, was released in 2022 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart.
