Weather alert affecting Eastern Washington until Friday midday

On Friday at 7:34 a.m. the NWS Pendleton OR issued a special weather statement until 11:30 a.m. The alert is for Kittitas Valley, Lower Columbia Basin and Foothills of the Blue Mountains of Washington.
“Patches of fog with visibilities from a quarter mile to one mile have been observed across portions of the Washington Columbia Basin, Kittitas valley, and Blue Mountain foothills. Fog with very low visibilities have been especially noted along US Highway 12, US Highway 395, and across the Walla valley. The fog is expected to last the next several hours, with it clearing up before noon. Low visibilities in fog may impact travel, with areas of freezing fog creating slick surfaces,” according to the NWS.
This alert is in effect until 11:30 a.m.
