Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Calls Out Emma for Not Defending Chelsea

The drama between Selling Sunset stars — and former best friends — Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan continues.
“The posts I shared from Emma’s bf: HE SHARED ALL OF THIS PUBLICLY,” Stause, 44, shared in an Instagram Story on Thursday, November 6. “Plus SO many more than I shared inciting hate speech towards the LGBTQ community along with proudly telling myself and Chelsea [Lazkani] he feels entitled to using the N word.”
Stause added that Hernan, 33, “chooses” to date boyfriend Blake Davis.
“That’s on her. She doesn’t mind the hate speech. She just minded me drawing attention to his page where he was doing it,” Stause wrote. “All of which she knew about for the year and half before I ever said anything. That’s hurtful to learn her morals when her queer and black friend were her ‘best friends’ I am tired of this narrative.”
Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause is teasing drama with Emma Hernan at the season 9 reunion. “Who is going to have the most to answer for at the Selling Sunset reunion?” Chrishell, 44, was asked during her Thursday, October 30, appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. Chrishell immediately pointed the finger at Emma, […]
She concluded, “If I see racism or homophobia, l’m not the girl to help you cover it up. Using a Michelle Obama quote about taking the high road on a show where she defended his use of the N word and hasn’t spoken up for Chelsea’s treatment when others work to paint her as a threat is mind blowing.”
Stause appears to be referring to costar Mary Bonnet’s ongoing claims (specifically ones she made to Us Weekly exclusively) that producers set up her conflict with Lazkani during season 9.
Neither Hernan nor Lazkani have reacted to Stause’s post thus far.
Stause’s Instagram Story post adds another layer to the drama unfolding offscreen. Stause’s dislike for Hernan’s boyfriend was shown during the most recent season of Selling Sunset, which premiered earlier this month. However, things have continued to heat up in the wake of the show.
Hernan broke up with Davis on the show, but they got back together after filming — which led her friendship with Stause to crumble. Stause previously hinted that her fallout with Hernan came from Davis allegedly using the racial slur and making fun of pronouns.
Hernan exclusively clarified Stause’s accusations during an interview with Us Weekly earlier this week.
“He did not say that pronouns were dumb. He would never say that. He accidentally said ‘wife’ [about Chrishell’s partner, G Flip],” Hernan explained. “When he said ‘wife,’ I told him and I explained it, and it was the first time he was learning about it and he was trying to be good.”
Hernan claimed that the situation didn’t happen recently.
“This was two years ago and I corrected him, because I knew I wanted to be sensitive,” she said. “I’m super sensitive about the situation, so I corrected him and he said, ‘Oh, my bad. We’re from the south and we don’t really do it there.’ That’s exactly what was said.”
Hernan is hopeful that Davis can “have a conversation” with Stause in the future.

“It’s one of those things with their personalities where they just will never see eye to eye,” Hernan added. “They are on two ends of the spectrum in the sense where she doesn’t appreciate certain things that he does and he doesn’t appreciate certain things that she does. Unfortunately, I am in the middle.”
However, Stause appeared to shut that down by reacting to Hernan’s interview.
“This is NOT what was said,” she alleged in a social media post on Tuesday, November 4, sharing a clip of Hernan’s conversation with Us. “But good job Emma in flaming the hate for my partner and their preferred pronoun use.”
