Vande Bharat Express Network Expands With 4 New Trains: What Travellers Need To Know

Indian Railways is launching four new Vande Bharat Express trains in a bid to enhance regional connectivity, significantly reduce travel time, support the local economy, and promote tourism. The trains will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8, 2025, from the Varanasi Junction Railway Station.

The four new routes include:

Banaras to Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express: The train, which is 2 hours and 40 minutes faster than others on the same route, will make stops at Prayagraj and Chitrakoot, among others. It will complete the journey in 7 hours and 40 minutes, and make stops at:

  • Vindhyachal
  • Prayagraj Chheoki
  • Chitrakut Dham
  • Banda
  • Mahoba

Lucknow to Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express: The train will complete the journey from Lucknow to Saharanpur in 7 hours and 45 minutes, an hour faster than others on the same route. The major stops on the route will include:

  • Sitapur
  • Shahjahanpur
  • Bareilly
  • Moradabad
  • Bijnor

With the launch of these four new trains, the number of Vande Bharat trains in India has reached 164.

Firozpur to Delhi Vande Bharat Express: The Firozpur to Delhi Vande Bharat Express will complete the journey in 6 hours and 40 minutes. The train aims to enhance connectivity between the national capital and its nearby states. It will make stops at:

  • Firozpur
  • Bathinda
  • Patiala

Ernakulam to Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express: This train will complete the journey in 8 hours and 40 minutes, which is approximately 2 hours faster than others on the same route. The train is expected to foster better connectivity between Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, and will include stops at:

  • Krishnarajapuram
  • Jolarpettai
  • Salem
  • Erode
  • Tiruppur
  • Coimbatore
  • Palakkad
  • Thrissur
