ATP Athens Best Bets Including Novak Djokovic vs Yannick Hanfmann

It’s time for the semifinals at ATP Athens. Will Novak Djokovic win his second title of the year? Will Lorenzo Musetti win his first title? Maybe Sebastian Korda surprises everyone and comes away with the victory. Here are our best bets. Please share your thoughts in the comments.
ATP Athens
Korda – Musetti: Time 18:00
H2H: 2-2.
Lorenzo Musetti will take on Sebastian Korda in the first of our two semifinal matches in Athens. Interestingly enough, Korda is 2-2 all-time against Musetti, and both of his wins came indoors; and they’ll be playing indoors this time. Musetti’s two wins came when the two met on clay. Korda is actually the better of the two on an indoor surface. He’s 53-30 for his career indoors, while Musetti is 48-40 when he plays indoors. Sure, the last time that Korda beat Musetti was in 2022, but the pattern and stats are there to support the idea that Korda is the better player indoors.
Best Bet to Make
Given the fact that Korda can be had for 2.2 on William Hill, I actually think that’s the smartest bet here. Look, you can play it straight by taking Musetti straight up for 1.8 on Betfair. You’ll make a fair dollar. I just happen to think that there’s a chance to take a flier on someone who is the better indoor player and who enjoys better odds. Worst-case scenario, you make this your throwaway bet for the week. Upsets don’t happen as often in men’s tennis, but the signs are there when one is coming, and I think one is coming.
That being said, Korda winning is a value bet for sure.

Djokovic – Hanfmann Time 16:00
H2H: 2-0
Our last match is Novak Djokovic vs Yannick Hanfmann. It’s No. 5 in the World vs No. 117. Djokovic has won this very tournament seven times already, and last won in back-to-back years in 2022-23. He’s been a finalist here nine times. This is Hanfmann’s first time competing in this tournament. Djokovic is 6-4 in his last ten matches, and Hanfmann is an impressive 8-2.
Best Bet to Make
Novak Djokovic is playing with a purpose in this tournament. The Djoker is heading towards the twilight of his career, and he knows it. That makes moments like these all the more important and special when they come. He knows that he won’t have too many more chances to win a tournament at the ATP level. He has to take his shots when they’re in front of him, and Hanfmann is not a person he has struggled against in the past.
That being said, Djokovic winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
