Watch: Caroline Flack’s mum Christine ‘wants the truth to come out’ in new doc

Caroline Flack’s mother Christine is leading a two-part ‘unprecedented’ documentary into her daughter’s final days, saying she ‘just wants justice’ for her daughter.

The presenter tragically took her own life in February 2020, following a turbulent time that saw her step down from presenting Love Island after being charged with assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton the previous December, to which she pleaded not guilty.

Burton did not support the allegations, and the coverage of that time was widely condemned following her death, sparking the ‘Be Kind’ movement.

Five years on, and Christine wants to set the record straight about Caroline to counteract ‘the misrepresentations’ that tarnished her daughter’s reputation.

Caroline Flack: The Search for the Truth, which is being produced by Disney+, will also see her ask the hard questions and bring to light new details from that time.

A trailer for the show released on Friday sees Christine talking about her daughter’s successful career as footage of Caroline on TV is played.

She then says: ‘People think they know what happened to Caroline, but the reality is much darker. There’s so much information the public haven’t seen. I want the truth to come out.’

Caroline’s own voice is also featured in the trailer, with voicenotes she sent to family and friends used to tell her story as well as her messages.

Another moving moment sees Christine tell the camera why she’s doing the doc, saying: ‘Now I’ve got nothing to lose. The worst thing in the world happened. My daughter’s died.

‘As a parent, we think our children are always going to be there. I want justice for my daughter.’

The documentary was first announced in early 2025, with the heartbroken mum admitting that she still has so many questions about Caroline’s death.

‘I still have so many questions about what happened to Caroline in her final months, and it’s something I feel deeply compelled to explore, even though I know it will be challenging.

‘I’m pleased to be working with the team at Curious Films once again, in the hope of bringing clarity and understanding to Carrie’s story – not just for her, but for everyone who cared about her.’
