The leading lights of Gaelic football and hurling were descending on the RDS in Dublin this evening to attend the 2025 PwC All-Stars banquet.

This much-anticipated annual date in the GAA calendar recognises the top performing players in either code, with TV audiences able to tune in from 7.30pm onwards on RTÉ One.

Amid the individual garlands, there is plenty of glamour and glitz too.

This year’s hurling All-Stars – including seven from All-Ireland champions Tipperary – had already been announced on Thursday morning, with the 15 winners to receive their coveted awards in person tonight.

Then comes the football All-Stars, to be announced on the night, with All-Ireland kingpins Kerry and runners-up Donegal expected to feature heavily among the recipients.

The show will come to a finale with the announcement of the PwC GAA/GPA players of the year and young players of the year.

The three nominees for Hurler of the Year are John McGrath, Jake Morris (both Tipperary) and Brian Hayes (Cork). Vying for the young hurler accolade are Adam English (Limerick) along with Tipp duo Darragh McCarthy and Robert Doyle.

In football, Kerry talisman David Clifford will be vying for his third Footballer of the Year gong in competition with teammate Joe O’Connor and Michael Murphy of Donegal.

The younger footballer nominees are Oisín Conaty (Armagh), Finnbarr Roarty (Donegal) and Matthew Thompson (Galway).
