NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — FOX 17 News is in a Code Red Weather Alert for a tornado watch and severe storms on Friday.
A severe thunderstorm warning was also issued for Dickson, Cheatham, and Williamson counties on Friday afternoon. Heavy rain and winds up to 60 mph are possible, along with small hail.
These thunderstorms will most likely be a low-end threat, with damaging winds being the primary threat. The majority of the FOX 17 News viewing area is at a slight level 2/5 risk for severe weather.
Expect ongoing storms capable of severe weather to fire between 2-10 p.m.Davidson County will most likely see these storms between 4-6 p.m. in that window.
