Paolo Banchero nears triple-double in loss

by Bruno Mulé | Magic Correspondent | Wed, Nov 5th 1:49pm EST
Paolo Banchero registered 22 points (6-of-16 FG, 10-of-12 FT), 11 rebounds, eight assists, and one steal over 36 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Hawks. Banchero was efficient from the free-throw line but went 0-for-4 from beyond the arc, finishing just two assists shy of a triple-double.
Fantasy Impact:
The Magic’s perimeter struggles were a key factor in the loss, as the team shot 25 percent (5-of-20) from deep in the first half and fell behind by 17 at the break. For fantasy managers with lofty expectations, Banchero’s averages of 23 points and 10 rebounds through eight games have been relatively underwhelming. The 23-year-old franchise cornerstone has a good opportunity to bounce back on Friday in a favorable home matchup against the Celtics.
