The Minnesota Timberwolves’ NBA Cup Court Might Be The Worst Basketball Court These Eyes Have Ever Seen

Gross. Gross. Gross. 

It’s an NBA Cup Friday, and that means NBA Cup Courts. The Minnesota Timberwolves debuted a neon green court for their home game against the Jazz. 

Really, it’s more of a vomit green than a neon green. 

From this angle, there’s a Hi-C Ecto Cooler look to it. 

Ecto Cooler was delicious. This court stinks.

Looks bad on my iPhone and laptop – It sounds like it wasn’t much better in person.

The court in Washington, DC, is very red. Reminds me of the football field at Eastern Washington. 

“The Inferno” is harsh on the pupils. It stings the retinas – and has a Kenny Rogers Roasters vibe to it. 

The NBA Cup is a way to add ‘buzz’ to the regular season. I guess these help if you’re looking to be trending on a Friday night for having ugly basketball courts. If that’s what the NBA wanted, they’re getting it. 

But as a viewer, I just find the courts distracting, especially this puke green one in Minnesota. 

I get it, I’m old. But this is too much. And too loud. 

And too green.
