Blackhawks’ Frank Nazar exits vs. Flames with apparent injury

Nazar was taken down by a cross-check from Flames forward Joel Farabee with a little more than seven minutes remaining in the opening period. The 21-year-old went down to the ice in clear pain before heading back to the locker room.
Later in the period, Colton Dach stepped up for his teammate, dropping the gloves with Farabee.
Nazar had logged just 3:19 of ice time before leaving. He entered Friday with five goals and six assists in 14 games.
A first-round pick of the Blackhawks in 2022, Nazar has seen his role increase so far in 2025-26, averaging 19:52 of action per game in his third season with Chicago.
