Wisconsin high school football playoffs; WIAA quarterfinals live updates, scores

Journal Sentinel staff quarterfinal football playoff predictions

Journal Sentinel prep sports reporter Zac Bellman previews the top five area quarterfinal playoff games and gives staff predictions for the results.

The quarterfinals of the 2025 WIAA football playoffs are set for Friday, Nov. 7.

It’s the next step in the Wisconsin high school football playoffs that culminate in the state finals for 11-player teams Nov. 20-21 at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is providing live updates of the Division 1 game between Sussex Hamilton and Arrowhead.

There’s also a list of scores from both the Milwaukee area and around the state.

You can follow along here for the latest updates:

Final: Arrowhead 34, Hamilton 24

The Warhawks come all the way back from 17 points down early on, capping the comeback with a Brendan Foley 3-yard touchdown run after Ethan Kirley’s interception with 7:48 to play. What a turnaround for Arrowhead. They’ll play Waunakee for a spot in the D1 state title game next week.

End 3Q: Arrowhead 27, Hamilton 24

We’ve got one quarter left in what’s been an awesome rematch. Arrowhead has scored 20 of the last 23 points to jump in front by a field goal on the back of two Charger fumbles in the third quarter. Jebari Craig found the endzone for the second time and Cam DeBoer drained a short field goal to put the hosts in front for the first time tonight.

Halftime: Hamilton 24, Arrowhead 17

The Chargers started fast, but Arrowhead stays in the fight to trail by just a touchdown at the break. The Warhawks got an 8-yard touchdown run from Jebari Craig and a short field goal make from Cam DeBoer following a defensive pass interference call on 4th-and-8 from the Hamilton 38-yard-line to go into the locker room with some momentum.

End 1Q: Sussex Hamilton 21, Arrowhead 7

The Chargers have steamrolled the Warhawks out of the gate. Two Nolan Hanson interceptions and a pair of Drew Olsson touchdowns later, it’s been all Chargers early outside of a long Devin Nettles touchdown run on 3rd-and-short to get the Warhawks on the board. There was even a successful fake punt from Hamilton inside its own 40. This game’s had everything and then some so far.
