Complete casting has now been revealed for the upcoming world premiere play High Noon, adapted from the four-time Academy Award-winning 1952 film of the same name.
Written by Oscar winner Eric Roth (Forrest Gump) and based on the original screenplay by Carl Foreman, the piece marks Roth’s debut work for the stage. It will be directed by Olivier Award winner Thea Sharrock (The Bodyguard).
Set in the American West of the 1800s, High Noon is a thriller, told in real time, which follows lovers Will Kane (played by Emmy and Tony Award winner Billy Crudup) and Amy Fowler (played by Olivier Award winner Denise Gough), who are faced with impossible choices as the clock ticks down to the return of deadly outlaw Frank Miller on the high noon train.
Joining Crudup and Gough on stage will be Billy Howle, Rosa Salazar, Simon Chandler, James Doherty, Misha Handley, Joshua Hill, Jonah Russell, Rebecca Lee and Tim Steed.
Sharrock’s production will feature set and costume design by Tony and Olivier Award winner Tim Hatley (Back to the Future The Musical), lighting design by Tony and Olivier Award winner Neil Austin (Born With Teeth) and music composition and production by Chris Egan. The casting director is Jina Jay.
The team of producers includes Paula Wagner, Tom Werner and Thomas Tull, with Short Street Productions Ltd. as general managers and Mark Rubinstein as executive producer.
High Noon is scheduled to run at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London from 17 December 2025 to 7 March 2026, with tickets on sale now.
