Delonte West arrested after being found intoxicated, unconscious

Former NBA player Delonte West was arrested after being found unconscious at a section of Fair Haven Avenue and Richmond Highway in Virginia on Nov. 3, Fairfax County Police Department told TMZ.
West was so intoxicated that he was arrested for his own safety, police said, adding that they offered to take West to the hospital and he refused.
Fairfax County PD said they responded to a call with EMS regarding a male found unconscious, and when they found West he was breathing.

West, who played eight seasons for four teams in the NBA, made bond and was released from police custody.
It is unclear if he will face any charges in the incident.
It comes a year after Fairfax County PD arrested West for trespassing in Huntington and hit with a misdemeanor charge.
Last June, West was arrested after fleeing police as they attempted to serve a warrant after he was accused of violating conditions of release and resisting arrest.
Police found West unresponsive and he was administered Narcan for a suspected opioid overdose. He was later charged with resisting arrest.
West, the 24th overall pick by the Celtics in the 2004 NBA Draft, has publicly dealt with mental health struggles, substance abuse and bipolar disorder.

He had a string of arrests following his playing career.
West made $16 million during an NBA career where he averaged 9.7 points and 3.6 assists per game. He also played for the Cavaliers, SuperSonics and Mavericks.
