Dave Portnoy found himself being yelled at by a young man who was slinging an antisemitic phrase at him on the street during the media personality’s trip to Mississippi in a video now online.
While doing his viral pizza reviews at a place in Mississippi, amid visiting the Southern state for Mississippi State’s game against the University of Georgia this weekend, a passerby yelled “f–k the Jews” at the 48-year-old social media star.
The comment appeared to floor Dave, who then invited the guy to come into the camera and show his face. Meanwhile, people in the background showed disapproval of the unidentified harasser who came at the Barstool founder.

Although you can’t hear exactly what was said, Dave and the offender appeared to have a tense exchange as a bigger guy in a blue shirt separates them so they didn’t physically fight.
Dave doesn’t tolerate anti-Jewish hate and will stand up against it if he encounters it. Earlier this year he slammed a group of guys who paid money to put “F–k THE JEWS” on a sign at his bar in Philadelphia.

At the time, he expressed to NBC News how the sign impacted him, telling the news outlet, “Maybe it wouldn’t have shocked me as much if I didn’t see it in a bar that I owned. But the uptick in antisemitism has been noticeable.”
Also, Dave shared his fiery outage in a post X, formerly Twitter, which had an almost 3-minute video of him addressing the incident.
“Emergency Press Conference – I’m sending the people who ordered the ‘F–k Jews’ signs at my bar to Auschwitz to learn about the Holocaust. Rather than ruin a couple 20 year olds lives maybe this can be used as a teaching moment,” he captioned the post shared on the platform in early May.

Within the last few months, Dave’s faith has been targeted. When he was recording a different pizza review outside of Terrazza in Toronto in June, another person made the same remark toward him, according to The New York Post.
“See, there we go, there we go,” Dave said after the person yelled at him then. After fans started laughing in the background, he snapped: “What are you guys f–king laughing about? Exactly. So here we go, one bite everybody knows the rules. We won’t let that get … what is that Toronto hospitality there?”
