Three Russian-American films starring American actor Steven Seagal are set to begin filming in 2026, said American film producer Steven Mao, president of Studio Mao and producer of the Oscar-winning film “Skin“.
“Next year, we plan to start filming three Russian-American films starring legendary actor Steven Seagal. I can’t say much, but these are action dramas set in Russia and other countries,“ Mao noted.
One of the projects includes five scenes that will be shot in different regions of Russia, including Altai. “We are looking forward to the launch of this project. All the films will feature American and Russian film crews – “We are really trying to bring our film industries closer together,” he added.
According to the producer, one of the projects will have a philosophical content, combining elements of an action movie and a “spiritual story.” “I can say that we already have an agreement for international distribution of the projects. They will be released in Russia, the United States and several other countries,” Mao concluded.
