Joplin’s 38th Annual Veterans Day Parade set for this Saturday

JOPLIN, Mo. — As the nation pauses to reflect on the sacrifices of its service members, Joplin prepares to roll out the red carpet for its veterans with the 38th Annual Veterans Day Parade this Saturday morning. Organized by American Legion Post 13, the event stands as the largest of its kind in the region, drawing onlookers for a heartfelt tribute that blends military precision with community spirit.
The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. sharp, staging participants along Main Street between 15th and 20th streets. The procession will snake north on Main to 2nd Street, turn west onto 3rd, then south on Joplin Avenue, disbanding in the parking lots behind City Hall between 5th and 7th streets.
Expect Main and Joplin streets to close from early morning until around noon, with organizers advising extra travel time for anyone crossing the route.
