Lineups are out! This is pretty much a standard starting XI. The addition of Gnabry makes sense for a defensive side like Union and it will be interesting to see if any youngsters get subbed on later.
Bayern Munich has conquered the reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain with 10 men last time out, which is a testament to the quality of the team. Today, they welcome Union Berlin who normally put up a good fight against the Bavarians.
The hosts are overwhelming favorites against Die Eisernen, but the latter will not go down without a fight. Regardless, the last win that Union got in the Bundesliga was over Eintracht Frankfurt roughly a month and a half ago, which ended 4-3. Oliver Burke is a player to watch, as he just scored a hat-trick. I also had the displeasure of having to play against him (whilst at RB Leipzig) in Soccer Manager 2017 and I had to restart every time because I didn’t want Bayern losing.
Going back, if Kompany can field a C team and thrash Bayer Leverkusen, who is doing considerably better than Union, then there should be nothing to worry about.
Prediction: Bayern wins 4-0
