Exeter 1-1 Wigan

Exeter and Wigan shared the spoils in an entertaining 1-1 League One draw at St James Park.
Callum Wright gave the Latics a 24th-minute lead but Jayden Wareham responded early in the second half for the hosts.
Wigan had the first chance of the game, but Jason Kerr headed wide when he was left unmarked at a corner.
Wright was then thwarted by Joe Whitworth when one-on-one with the Exeter goalkeeper.
However, Wright made amends when his quick movement at a free-kick saw him picked out by Morgan Fox and he took one touch before firing past Whitworth from 18 yards.
Fraser Murray was denied by Whitworth when he found himself in on goal and Exeter’s first effort came after 37 minutes when Jack McMillan stung the palms of Sam Tickle from 18 yards.
Exeter levelled in the 53rd minute when Ilmari Niskanen’s deft touch sent Reece Cole away on the right and his cross was guided in at the near post by Wareham.
Wright missed a great chance to put Wigan 2-1 up, shooting tamely into the arms of Whitworth, and Kerr was again off target with a great headed chance.
Christian Saydee thought he had won it for Wigan late on, only for his goal to be disallowed for handball.
