Vera Wang and David’s Bridal Offer Archival Styles for Brides and Bridesmaids

Vera Wang seems to live near the fountain of youth, but the designer has dipped into her past for a limited-edition offering with David’s Bridal.

In celebration of the David’s Bridal x Vera Wang Bride global partnership, “White by Vera Wang” is debuting with 10 handcrafted-to-order dresses for brides and bridesmaids — five for brides and five for bridesmaids. The throwback capsule collection revives popular and bestselling wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses that were offered by the two companies during their original partnership in the early 2010s. Offered only via the David’s Bridal site, the archival White by Vera Wang archival collection is being pushed out to shoppers via the retailer’s social media, site and email newsletters among other avenues.

This limited run is a precursor to the debut of Vera Wang Bride, which will be released at David’s Bridal in the spring of 2026.

Wang’s name is synonymous with wedding gowns, having first started her business in that sector in 1990 in New York. She has created wedding dresses for such celebrities as Ariana Grande, Hailey Bieber and Kim Kardashian, as well as red carpet looks for Beyoncé Knowles Carter, Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya.

In September, David’s Bridal Inc. and WHP Global, owner of the Vera Wang fashion brand, announced a strategic partnership naming David’s Bridal as the global producer and retailer of Vera Wang Bride, a premium collection of wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses and, soon, wedding invitations and stationery. This partnership marks the creation of an expansive Vera Wang Bride world, available exclusively at David’s Bridal.

In 2010, Wang signed an exclusive licensing deal with David’s Bridal for White by Vera Wang, which ended in 2020 due to the pandemic. Wang then signed a new 10-year partnership in 2021 with Barcelona-based Pronovias for Vera Wang Bride. According to WHP Global, the Vera Wang Bride partnership with Pronovias will transition to David’s Bridal.

The archival styles will be offered for a limited time.

The refreshed archival styles, however, will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis, due to the collection’s sourcing for heritage fabrics and cut-to-order capacity. Each of the archival dresses will be custom-made and allowing for up to 30 dresses per style and color.

The limited-run wedding dresses are being offered in sizes 0 to 22 with retail prices ranging from $1,699 for a slimming crepe gown with a modern high neckline to $2,299 for a fit-and-flare gown with a dramatic skirt. The bridesmaid dresses are being offered in five colors: Blush, Ebony, Midnight, Wine, and Forest, as well in sizes from 0 to 22. The five styles retail for $229.95 and come in such silhouettes as a plunging V-neckline with defined waistband and a high slit detail.

To celebrate the launch of the archival collection, David’s hosted a brunch and fashion presentation at the Café Carlyle Thursday to debut the archival pieces, as well as exclusive pieces from David’s spring 2026 bridal collection including new looks from Viola Chan Couture. There were also plans to show archival pieces from Vera Wang Bride and to introduce the brand’s expansion into Indian bridalwear with Kynah.
