No. 15 Louisville football returns home to face California for their inaugural meeting.
The Cardinals are looking to extend their winning streak to four games after picking up road wins at Miami and Virginia Tech and a home victory over Boston College. Louisville’s one conference loss has the team among the ACC championship and College Football Playoff contenders down the stretch.
Cal is on the other side of things after losing three of its last four games. That includes back-to-back losses against Virginia Tech and Virginia, respectively. Louisville hasn’t fared well in its games against two of the newer ACC schools, falling to SMU, which went 8-0 in conference play, and Stanford last year. The squad is focused on reversing the trend to start the series with the Golden Bears 1-0.
